Anderson University

Anderson University was founded in 1911 in Anderson, South Carolina, as a four-year college for women. Today, the institution is open to students of any sex, race or religion, and enrollment totals 2,908 students in 53 fields. Anderson University is rated number 21 among Southern universities by U.S. News & World Report and second for regional colleges in the category of Excellence in Teaching.

Online Criminal Justice Degrees
Anderson University offers an online program leading to a Bachelor of Criminal Justice (BCRJ) degree. The program is geared toward first-time students seeking a career in corrections, law enforcement or related fields. Students may complete the general coursework or enroll in one of two specializations: law enforcement or homeland security and emergency preparedness.

Anna Maria College

Founded by the Sisters of Saint Anne in 1946, Anna Maria College is a private, Catholic college located in Massachusetts. Campbellsville University is a private Baptist institution located in Kentucky. The university enrolls approximately 3,200 students from more than 35 countries around the world. Campbellsville is ranked the 69th best Southern Regional University by U.S. News & World Report.

Online Criminal Justice Degrees
Campbellsville University’s online Associate of Science in Criminal Justice degree program prepares students for careers as court reporters, paralegals, private security guards, probation officers, bailiffs, corrections officers, court clerks, legal specialists, police officers, and other law enforcement positions. The program’s expected completion time is two years, and credits from the two-year degree can be applied toward a bachelor’s degree. Curriculum consists of 30 criminal justice credit hours and 30 credit hours of general education. Courses include Criminal Investigation, Justice Systems, Victimology, and Juvenile Delinquency.

Campbellsville University is accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS-COC). The university is an affiliate of the Kentucky Baptist Convention (KBU).

Central Christian College

Central Christian College was founded as Orleans Seminary in Nebraska in 1884 but was relocated to McPherson, Kansas, its current headquarters, in 1914. The four-year college is open to all students regardless of religion, race or location. In 2012, approximately 330 students were enrolled in more than 20 undergraduate programs. While most students live and study on campus, many others take advantage of the institution’s online programs.

Online Criminal Justice Degrees
Central Christian College offers an all-inclusive, online program leading to a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in criminal justice. Tuition covers all necessary materials, including textbooks and a Google Chromebook computer. Coursework is delivered completely online, and students may access resources 24 hours per day, seven days per week. The program is comprised of 120 semester hours and can be completed in less than 18 months.

Central Christian College holds regional accreditation from the Higher Learning Commission (HLC) of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools (NCA). In addition, the institution is a member of the National Association of Independent Colleges and Universities and the Kansas Independent College Association.

Colorado Christian University

Colorado Christian University is an interdenominational liberal arts university located in Lakewood, Colorado. More than 5,000 students are enrolled in the school’s degree programs, including a number of online students. The American Council of Trustees and Alumni assigned the university an “A” grade in its 2012 evaluation of colleges and universities.

Online Criminal Justice Degrees
Colorado Christian University allows students to earn their Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice degrees entirely online. The curriculum consists of 39 criminal justice credits, 48 general credits, and 33 elective credits for a total of 120. Up to 90 of these credits can be transferred from a regionally accredited college or university. Most of the coursework can typically be completed in four semesters.

Colorado Christian University and its online criminal justice degree program are accredited by the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools (NCA-HLC). The university is a member of the Council for Christian Colleges and Universities (CCCU), the National Association of Independent Colleges and Universities (NAICU), and the Council of Independent Colleges (CIC).

Concordia University, St. Paul

Established in 1893, Concordia University, St. Paul is a Christian liberal arts institution located in Minnesota. Approximately 2,800 students were enrolled in the university’s on-campus and online degree programs as of 2011. U.S. News & World Report ranks CSP 92nd in the Midwest Regional Universities category and 37th in the Best Online Bachelor’s Programs category.

Online Criminal Justice Degrees
Concordia University Online offers both Master of Arts and Bachelor of Arts degree programs in Criminal Justice. Both degree programs are highly flexible and are completed fully online during a seven-week period. The B.A. program consists of 40 credit hours earned through courses such as Systems Thinking in Criminal Justice, Inside the Criminal Mind, and Philosophy of Values and Ethics. The M.A. program requires 36 credit hours and is more challenging and self-directed than the B.A. program.

Concordia University has been accredited by the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools (NCA-HLC) since 1967. The university is a member of the Council for Higher Education Administration (CHEA).

Kentucky Wesleyan College

Kentucky Wesleyan College is a private Methodist institution located in Owensboro, Kentucky. The college was founded in 1858 and was originally a training school for preachers. Today, Kentucky Wesleyan offers 40 different majors in humanities, social sciences, and natural sciences. U.S. News & World Report ranks KWU the 18th best regional college in the South and the 7th best value school.

Online Criminal Justice Degrees
Kentucky Wesleyan University’s Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice and Criminology degree program is available 100 percent online. The program is designed to prepare students for careers in law enforcement and other related fields. Courses focus on U.S. political and social systems as well as the U.S. criminal justice system’s reaction to crime. Liberty University

Located in Lynchburg, Virginia, Liberty University is a fully accredited Christian education college. This private, co-educational college was created for evangelical believers by Dr. Jerry Falwell in 1971. Liberty University has a combined residential and online enrollment of 92,600 students.

Online Criminal Justice Degrees

Loyola University New Orleans

Loyola University was founded in 1849 in Grand Cocteau, Louisiana, by an order of Jesuit priests, but it was not opened as a university until 1904 and not chartered until 1912. Currently located in New Orleans, the institution boasts an enrollment of 5,082 students and has a student-faculty ratio of 10:1. Loyola University New Orleans is ranked the ninth top university in the South by U.S. News & World Report.

Online Criminal Justice Degrees
Loyola University New Orleans offers an online Master of Science (M.S.) program in criminal justice administration that is designed to meet the challenges of the 21st century. Notre Dame College

Notre Dame College, or NDC, is located in Cleveland, Ohio, and it is the only small liberal arts facility for higher learning in the greater Cleveland area. It was established in 1922 as a Catholic learning facility. In addition, US News & World Report rated the school as the Midwest’s third most diverse college among schools that offer bachelor’s degrees. NDC’s reduced student to instructor ratio provides personal attention and a friendly atmosphere while its online program offers students a quality education.

Online Criminal Justice Degrees
NDC offers graduate and Master of Arts certificates that specialize in criminal justice. Students will take four streamlined classes to earn the graduate certificate in two semesters. The program for the Master of Arts certificate is 37 hours long, and students can complete it in just 18 months. With a criminal justice degree, graduating students will be ready to work as a law enforcement or border patrol agent. The degree also allows students to become immigration officers, homeland security specialists or intelligence operation officers.

Regis University

A group of banished Italian Jesuits founded Regis University in 1877. Today, the school is the only Jesuit Catholic college in the Rocky Mountain area. Furthermore, it is one of only 28 Jesuit colleges in the nation. For 18 consecutive years, U.S. News & World Report ranked Regis University as one of the west’s “Top Universities.” Furthermore, the school has received recognition from the Wall Street Journal, and the Peter F. Drucker Foundation has honored Regis University with an award for its innovative programs.

Online Criminal Justice Degrees
To earn a bachelor’s or master’s degree in criminology, students can take online courses through the university. The online program will help graduates acquire a career in crime analysis, law enforcement or public safety. Students must have 128 credit hours to graduate from the program. The core studies section requires 45 hours for completion while the foundational major requirement is 15 hours. To complete the upper division course, students need 27 credit hours.

Saint Leo University

Saint Leo University is a liberal arts college located in Saint Leo, Florida. Founded in 1889, on the basis of Catholicism, the university welcomes all faiths and denominations. Founded in 1873, Shorter University is a private Christian liberal arts university in Rome, Georgia affiliated with the Georgia Baptist Convention. Its student body consists of approximately 3,000 undergraduates and 500 graduate students enrolled either in face-to-face classes or in the university’s online programs.

Online Criminal Justice Degrees
Online students at Shorter can earn either an Associate of Science or a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice. The associate’s degree provides students with a basic foundation in criminal justice. It requires 60 credit hours, including 18 Criminal Justice courses, such as Police Systems, Procedural Justice, and Theories in Criminal Justice. These credits can later be applied toward a bachelor’s degree. The bachelor’s degree at Shorter provides a more advanced grounding in the field and requires 120 credits, including 27 in the major. Shorter’s online programs are offered in an accelerated form, with six eight-week terms each year.

University of the Southwest

University of the Southwest was founded in 1962 in Hobbs, New Mexico, as a non-denominational Christian institution of higher learning. The undergraduate body in 2012 included 312 students with a student-faculty ratio of 15:1. More than 56 undergraduate and graduate degree programs are offered servicing traditional students in a 21,000 sq. mi. area and online students throughout the world.

Online Criminal Justice Degrees
University of the Southwest offers an online bachelor’s degree program in Criminal Justice that can be accessed by students in any location without out-of-state tuition fees. The comprehensive set of coursework was developed by experts in the fields of sociology, forensic science and criminal behavior.
